How to run Wailer of the White Rift
Wailer of the White Rift is a tier 3 bruiser for Daggerheart. Drop it into any fitting scene; the statblock above is free to add to your compendium in the app, and the one-shot below gives you somewhere to run it.
Where it begins
- 1
A blizzard moves against the wind, carrying a low mournful horn.
- 2
Missing hunters are found frozen upright, eyes glazed with fear.
- 3
Old maps mark a rift that never seems to stay in the same place.
The Moving Rift
A traveling whiteout swallows the mountain pass. The party must find the moving rift, rescue trapped travelers, and stop the giant before the blizzard reaches the next settlement.
The Storm That Moves
The wind turns, and the blizzard follows. Snow sweeps across the pass like a living wall. Somewhere inside, a deep, mournful cry rolls through the white.
The party must orient in the storm and find three markers that outline the rift's path. Each marker gives a bearing toward the trapped travelers. If they fail, they lose time and the rift moves farther.
